He is the Chairman of the Codex Coordinating Committee for Asia (CC-Asia).
He is also the Chairman of Surakshit Khadya Abhiyan (Safe Food Mission for All) launched by the Govt. of India in July 2015.
He was the Chairman of Codex Alimentarius Commission (a UN - FAO/WHO - body) from July 2011 to July 2014.

He also worked as the Director of APEDA, where he work for several years.
As International Consultant to FAO, he recently completed a Technical Cooperation Program for capacity building of Lesotho, Swaziland and Zimbabwe in food safety and setting-up of their National Codex structure.
As International Consultant to FAO, he has participated in food safety and Codex related capacity building programs in Laos PDR and Myanmar; he has also participated in food safety capacity building programs Uganda and Sri Lanka.

Since 2010, Carmen Savelli has been working as a Technical Officer in the Department of Food Safety and Zoonoses at the World Health Organization (WHO) headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. At the Secretariat of the International Food Safety Authorities Network (INFOSAN), Carmen works to strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration nationally and internationally to facilitate communication on food safety issues, particularly during emergencies. Prior to joining WHO, Carmen worked from 2007 as an epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency of Canada within the Centre for Foodborne, Environmental and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases, investigating national outbreaks of foodborne illness. Carmen has a background in biomedical science (BSc, University of Guelph, Canada) and epidemiology (MPH, University of Waterloo, Canada). His PhD study (Lancaster University, United Kingdom) is focused on exploring the experiences of INFOSAN members to better understand how to improve international communication on matters of food safety, including during outbreaks and emergencies.

Ng Kim Keat is currently the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Director for Asia, Coca-Cola Far East Limited. He provides scientific and regulatory leadership, stewardship to the Asia Pacific Group. He represents The Coca-Cola Company as member of the Scientific & Technical Committee (STC) of Food Industry Asia (FIA) and was Vice Chair of STC 2015-2016 and currently serves as Chairman of STC. He is a Board member of the ASEAN Food and Beverages Alliance [AFBA], Vice Chairman of Federation of Malaysian Manufacturer - Food Industry Group (FMM MAFMAG), and has served as Chairman of the Technical Committee of FMM MAFMAG 2007-2014 whenever he was based in Malaysia. Kim Keat hold a Masters in Food Science & Nutrition and has over 20 years of experience in the field of scientific and regulatory affairs. He led the regulatory function for Kellogg South East Asia before joining Nestle in 2001. In his 14 years at Nestle, he has held various positions, including International Regulatory Affairs Advisor in Switzerland for Zone Asia, Oceania and Africa, Head of Regulatory & Scientific for Greater China Region, and Head of Regulatory for Malaysia/Singapore Region.

Mr. Halim Nababan worked at National Agency for Drug and Food Control, Republic of Indonesia (NADFC) for 37 years. He retired from NADFC since 1st December 2016 with the latest position as a Director for Food Safety Surveillance and Extension. His experience includes Senior Food Inspector, Senior Food and Drug Investigator, Chairman for the Indonesia Risk Assessment Center (INARAC) on Food Safety, Chairman for Food Intelligent Network, Director for Food Safety Professional Certification Body, ECP INFOSAN, CP for the ASEAN Risk Assessment Center ( ARAC), CP for ASEAN Expert Group on Food Safety, and CP for ASEAN Cluster 4: Food Safety.
Currently, he is a Vice Chairman of the Working Group of SME’s Empowerment for Food, Traditional Medicine and Cosmetics in Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN-Indonesia). He also a reviewer and a mentor for Startup Business Technology-Based Program in the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Republic of Indonesia. To improve food safety in Indonesia, he develops Training Program for Food Safety Professional, Training Food Safety Culture for Several Food Industry Communities and raising public awareness through media engagement.

Suhas Risbood, with more than 35 years of industrial experience is a Post Graduate in Chemistry with specialization in drugs and submitted his postgraduate project on synthesis of Vitamin B6.

Dr. Md. Iqbal Rouf Mamun, is a Professor of Chemistry at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Secured his position as a Lecturer of the University of Dhaka in 2000 he was elevated to the position of Professor in 2013. Prof. Mamun has vast research experience both in 'Natural Product Chemistry' and ‘Chemical Contaminants in Food & Environment'. He has carried out widespread research activities in Bangladesh, Sweden, Thailand and South Korea in diverse fields. He pursued his PhD degree in 1999 from the University of Dhaka with financial support from International Science Program (ISP), Sweden and did Post-Doctoral research in Chonnam National University, Republic of Korea on “Method development for analysis of chemical contaminants in food and environmental samples”. Having credits of 45 scientific papers published in national and international journals he is a member of Reviewer’s Panel of several reputed international journals related to food and environment. He has attended more than 50 scientific seminars &conferences and presented his research works there. He joined the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority in February 2015 as a Member.

Md. Imrul Hasan is currently working in Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations as National Consultant-Food Safety System Specialist. He has completed MS and B.Sc. in Nutrition and Food Science from University of Dhaka, Post Graduate Diploma in HR and Social compliance from Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM) and LLB from Capital Law College, Bangladesh. Apart from that before joining in Newly Established Bangladesh Food Safety Authority under Food Ministry on 10-02-2015, he worked in Consumer Right reservation under Trade Ministry for five years.
He has contributed in forming two organization. He directly participated in the implementation of essential principles regards Consumer Right reservation Act, 2009 and Safe Food Act, 2013. He is in charge of many important roles like Consumer rights reservation, prevent anti-consumer rights activities and solve consumer rights violation accuses. Now he is continuing his role to establish a skilled and active safe food arrangement system in Bangladesh.

Mr. ANM Asaduzzaman is the Director (Standards) of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI). He is also working as Head of Management System Certification (MSC) of BSTI. Mr. Asaduzzaman started his career in BSTI in 1985. He rendered his service in various important positions in BSTI. Before joining as Director (Standards) he worked as Director of the BSTI Regional office, Chittagong. Mr. Zaman has secured his Masters with BSc Honors in Physics from the University of Dhaka.
As Director (Standards), he deals with formulation and development of National Standards of different product & services and also harmonization and adoption of international standards. He has got imminence knowledge in administrative matter of the organization as well as the awarding of ISO certification to different organizations.
He has participated in many trainings, seminars and workshops in home and abroad. He is working in the various National Committee including National Codex Committee of Bangladesh.
